Andy Prosser
Q Arabica Instructor, R Grader & SCA Trainer, CQI Processing Instructor, ICE Grader
Andy is an educator at heart and a coffee quality specialist by profession. A former geography teacher, he has spent the past 15 years building expertise across the entire coffee value chain — from origin to global brands.
He holds the SCA Coffee Diploma and is an Authorized SCA Trainer in Barista Skills, Brewing, Green Coffee, and Sensory Skills. A former CQI Q Arabica Instructor and converted SCA Q Instructor, he is also an R Grader, holds the Q Processing Level 2 certificate, and the ICE Robusta Grading certificate — reflecting advanced technical expertise in quality evaluation and post-harvest processing.
Andy has extensive origin experience, with repeated fieldwork and quality projects in Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica, Honduras, Uganda, Burundi, Kenya, and China. He has contributed to a Kenyan quality improvement initiative focused on post-harvest systems and cup excellence, and has collaborated with USAID and TechnoServe in Burundi to strengthen processing knowledge and increase producer value.
Formerly Head of Quality at Keurig Dr Pepper, he has worked with global brands including Nespresso and Nestlé, as well as several of Europe’s largest roasters.
He combines technical precision with a passion for extraordinary environments — often pairing exceptional coffee with skiing, climbing, and biking adventures.
